Sumdog

As part of our maths programme we will be using Sumdog.  This is an online maths website that supports learning of basic facts.  Some of our class have already been using Sumdog, for others it is new.

http://www.sumdog.com

As students play the programme calculates how quickly they answer a question and also the amount of correct answers. It then sets appropriate tasks for individual learners.

There is an Ipad app for Sumdog but at this stage it is extremely limited. When we access Sumdog in the class those students with Ipads will be able to use the class laptops.

At this stage student passwords for all our  sites are being added to their small spelling notebook which stays at school and from next week we will also start adding them in our homework books.

You can help at home:

It would be helpful if you can add this site to their bookmark bar - it makes logging in easier as the password is remembered.

For those students new to Sumdog help with logging on and explore the Sumdog World together.
